San Diego: Day Six

Uh oh! I am so behind in my blogging! I have four days to catch up on. I wish I had stayed caught up but I am a procrastinator and this is what I do. So you'll just have to bear with me and my lame, quick-summary kind of blog posts. So on day 6, which was a Tuesday, we pretty much did nothing. I wasn't really feeling well so we just kind of layed low and walked around Old Town a bit. The market thing was so cute! I saw some pretty earrings but I didn't buy them. We talked to this funny girl named "Erica with a 'c' but sometimes I sign it with a 'k' cause it just makes it sound so much cooler, but then I stopped signing it like that because of my ring". And she told us all about her toothache and how she's sick and her lousy job in the jewellry store and her great job as a bartender and the fantastic tips she makes and her university degree and how she took some painkillers with a shot of tequila and she felt really sick after and basically her whole life story. I don't know what it is about my mum but people just seem to take one look at her and spill all their life secrets. It's quite interesting! then my mum and I both had an afternoon nap. For dinner we went to a burger place "as seen on the Food Network" but the burgers weren't that great. The fries were delicious though! So yeah, that just about sums up the day.
