one thing at a time
Well. Today was alright. I think the best part of my day was after all of my stress about whether I would get a call from urban planet about the job (and I was feeling a little hysterical because the interview went super well and I really wanted the job and didn't want to go through the whole resume/follow-up/interview/waiting process again) but finally I figured there is no point in waiting around for a phone call so I went out to hand out more resumes. There is a restaurant right by my house called Sokela and it is a mediterranean restaurant that looks awesome and really nice, so I stopped in. When I went in this cute little dog went running up to me and the whole place was empty so I almost left because I thought they were closed. But I waited a minute and a guy came out of the kitchen and I asked if they are hiring and he said they might be. We talked for a few minutes and I blabbed on and on trying to just be really friendly and outgoing, and he asked if I am 19 (shock of all shocks! no one ever asks me that because apparently I look like I'm 12), I said no, do I have to be to work here? He said no you don't. He was super nice I think he might have even been the owner. He seemed impressed or keen on me or something which was good. He said to call back in a week! So I thanked him and left. Long story short, I would love to work there, so I will do what it takes! Maybe I will go in next week instead of just calling. I am excited and maybe a little too hopeful. But in a way I hope I don't get called back for urban planet in lougheed mall because I would rather work at Sokela. Fingers crossed! Oh, I also drove to Port Moody and handed out resumes in Newport Village, then drove to Winners and bought two really cute skirts so I have something to wear for job interviews, and the other one I can wear for christmas! Now I am home and have a lot of homework to do, dinner to make, room to clean and unpack, etc. We have still barely unpacked anything it feels like. Well mostly my room is the worst, so full of crap in boxes. One thing at a time!
