San Diego: Day Three
On Saturday morning I woke up and we walked to get a real breakfast since, along with the 8 dollar a day internet, the hotel's "continental breakfast" consists of pastries and bad coffee. We went to a little cafe called Sweet and Savory Cafe. I got a greek breakfast wrap and they had some darn good coffee! Then we walked back to pick up the clothes I had put on hold. Well first we went and looked in Urban Outfitters because I love that store and was hoping maybe the american prices would be more reasonable, but no, I would still have to sell my house to buy anything from there. So we walked to Closet and I tried on even more clothes and eventually walked out of there with a wide selection of summer clothes for very reasonable! We went to a shop by the pier and looked at hoodies and I found a grey pull over that I absolutely love. Then my dad and I went and layed on the beach and basked in the sun. I wore no sunscreen like the rebel child that I am. I got a little pink and hopefully a little tan? Probably not but I can dream. After soaking in the rays I convinced my dad to go swimming in the ocean. It was ice cold but I managed to dunk myself. Oh we're just crazy Canadians. Everyone else was sitting on the beach in their warm jackets looking at me like I am a crazy. Then we went and swam in the hotel pool which was nice until two extremely obnoxious guys came and started being super annoying. After I showered and got dressed, my mum and I walked around and looked in more stores. We went into a store called "Surfindian" and I met my future husband. His name is Wyatt and he's a surfer. He lives in North Park, San Diego. We talked for a bit, then we left and went and sat on the beach and watched the surfers. Suddenly I got a brilliant idea so we went back to Surfindian and I marched up to Wyatt's little desk and he leaped up and smiled really big (awwww) and I asked him if he gives surf lessons and he said "yes! I do!" And looked really flustered it was cute. So on Thursday I'm getting surf lessons from a cute Californian! Yay! Then we walked back to the hotel and got my dad and went out for fish tacos again and Taco Surf which was much better and cheaper than our dinner from the night before.
